Federal Minister for the Board of Investment of Pakistan Kaiser Ahmed Sheikh met with a delegation of the company “Elaman Group” from the Republic of Kazakhstan. During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for investment in Pakistan’s mining sector, in particular projects related to alluvial gold mining in the Gilgit-Baltistan region.

Representatives of “Elaman Group” announced their intention to invest USD 20 million in alluvial gold mining projects, with the possibility of expanding investments at subsequent stages. The delegation noted that preliminary studies of the region have already been conducted and confirm the high potential of the deposits.

Plans were also announced to introduce modern mining technologies in cooperation with Chinese partners, with a strong focus on environmental sustainability and production efficiency.

The Federal Minister assured investors of full support from both federal and regional authorities, including regulatory assistance and project facilitation through the “one-stop shop” mechanism of the Board of Investment. Kaiser Ahmed Sheikh emphasized the importance of foreign investment for economic growth, job creation, and regional development.

“Elaman Group” reaffirmed its commitment to the principles of corporate social responsibility, including support for local communities, job creation, and the development of professional skills among the population.

It was noted that agreements to establish a joint venture with local partners have already been reached, enabling the project to move forward in accordance with Pakistan’s existing legislation.

The visit of the Kazakh company’s delegation, led by the Founder and Managing Partner of the industrial and investment holding, Azamat Utegenov, took place against the backdrop of the state visit of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, to Pakistan on February 3–4, underscoring the high level of bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
